ADVOCATE
Support advocacy efforts around food security by showing up at the Statehouse, submitting testimony, and/or contacting legislators. Stay connected with us via our email newsletter and on social media to stay in-the-know about current legislative actions. Our Advocacy webpage gets updated with engagement opportunities.

TELL YOUR STORY
Share your Food Bank story: what motivates you to support the Food Bank? Why does our work resonate with you? Has past reliance on a food pantry inspired you to help? Share your story to social media and tag us @rifoodbank – your story inspires others to get involved.

ENGAGE YOUR GROUP
There are many ways to get your workplace, school, or community group involved in ending hunger in the Ocean State.
- Invite a speaker from the Food Bank to talk with your group.
- Schedule a tour of the Food Bank’s warehouse facilities.
- Host a food drive or virtual fundraiser.
- Schedule a group volunteer day.

Founded in 1982, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works to improve the quality of life for all Rhode Islanders by advancing solutions to the problem of hunger. The Food Bank serves as the central food distribution hub across a statewide network of 140 member agencies. Through donations, federal programs, and community partnerships, in 2026, the Food Bank distributed over 18.2 million pounds of food, 4.7 million pounds of which was fresh produce. The RI Community Food Bank is a member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger-relief organization.
