Host a Virtual Fundraiser

Get the Whole Crew Involved!

Hosting a virtual fundraiser is a great way to support the Food Bank and engage your friends, family and coworkers! Instead of collecting cans and boxes of food, you’ll build a customizable, online fundraising page for an easy, effective way to raise money with your group.

Why Donate Funds vs. Food?

The money you raise with your team can be stretched further to provide more food than you could buy at the store, helping more people. Your monetary donations enable us to purchase most-needed items by the truckload at wholesale cost, select culturally relevant foods that may not be available as donations, and pay for freight and processing on large food donations.

How to Get Started

It’s quick and easy to get your virtual fundraising page started. Simply visit our virtual fundraising site and click the orange “Start Fundraising” button. You’ll then follow the prompts to name your fundraiser, add a customized photo and description and invite your friends.

If you are creating a page for your company or organization, we’ve created a guide to walk you through the process.

Please note, companies and organizations should use their corporate name in the registration field. Example: ABC Corporation would register as First Name: “ABC” and Last Name: “Corporation.”

Fundraising Ideas

You can get as creative as you like in engaging your family, friends and coworkers in a fundraising challenge. Here are some ideas to get you started:

Commemorate an event – Encourage friends and family to donate to the Food Bank in honor of a birthday, anniversary or family reunion.

Have some healthy competition – Break into teams to see who can raise the most funds. Offer a small prize or just bragging rights.

Dress down to raise funds – Great for an in-office team. Allow the team to dress down for a donation to the Food Bank.

Create a themed fundraiser – One corporate group created a Thanksgiving fundraiser and set up a separate donation teams named after Thanksgiving sides. Colleagues would make their donation on the page that represented their favorite dish!
