Director of Communications

 The RI Community Food Bank seeks a director of communications to develop a communications strategy for the Food Bank and execute that strategy through marketing, public relations, media relations and digital communications activities. Write key publications, including press releases, newsletters, annual report, flyers, brochures, etc. Manage the Food Bank’s website and social media strategy. Support communications needs of other Food Bank departments. Represent the Food Bank at outside events and speaking engagements. This position reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer and is an active part of the development team. Experience managing external communications strategies and implementation for a high profile organization, and bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, English, or related field required. Community Nutrition Coordinator (Part-Time)

The RI Community Food Bank is seeking a part-time Community Nutrition Coordinator to facilitate nutrition education programs and activities. The position encourages and provides outreach and support to Food Bank member agencies and their program guests.  Requirements include experience in facilitation with a strong working knowledge of culinary and nutrition and a current food safety license.   The position is also responsible for Kids Cafe program metrics and monitoring.  Bi-lingual Spanish preferred.  See full job description here.

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is looking for a full-time warehouse worker within the warehouse operation. The individual should have general order picking knowledge. Should also have experience using standard warehouse equipment.  Looking for a team player willing to pitch in wherever needed to keep the operation running smoothly.
