Communications Coordinator

Are you a natural storyteller with a knack for digital communications? The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is hiring a Communications Coordinator, responsible for supporting the Director of Communications in executing the marketing and communications strategy for the Food Bank. The Communications Coordinator will gather stories, photos and video that document the work of the Food Bank, its network, and the people we serve and turn them into engaging content for use on our website, social media channels and other key publications. This is a community-facing role, requiring proficiency in social media, web management, photography, and journalism. Reliable transportation and ability to travel around the state to do site visits to gather content is a must.

Development Coordinator

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is seeking a full-time Development Coordinator to provide operational and administrative support for its major gifts program. Responsibilities include all major gift portfolio management, database tracking and reporting, oversight of mailings and other donor communications, planning and execution of donor cultivation events, and other projects that help deepen relationships with donors and prospects for major gifts. Qualified candidates should be organized, attentive to detail with strong computer, project management and interpersonal skills. Prior experience working with a donor database, preferably Raiser’s Edge NXT, highly desired. A bachelor’s degree or 1- 3 years work experience, preferably in a non-profit development office, are required. See full job description here.

SNAP Outreach Coordinator

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is looking for a SNAP Outreach Coordinator responsible for connecting our member agencies and their guests to SNAP and other benefit programs.  Qualified candidates must be comfortable with providing one-on-one support and capable of understanding the requirements for state and local assistance programs.  Fluency in Spanish is required and experience working with diverse populations is a definite plus.  Strong communication skills are required.  See full job description here.

CSFP Coordinator

Do you want to help seniors gain access to healthy food?  The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is seeking an individual to coordinate our senior nutrition food box program.  The candidate must able to speak Spanish fluently, enjoy working with seniors, building partnerships, be detail orientated and proficient in Microsoft programs, especially Excel.  A bachelor’s degree and strong communication skills are required. Our staff of over 60 brings our mission to life, working to improve the quality of life for all Rhode Islanders by advancing solutions to the problem of hunger.

As the only food bank in the state of Rhode Island, our team has a broad range of skills and works in a variety of departments.
