The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Our tax identification number is 05-0395601.
88 percent of Food Bank expenses support our mission to acquire and distribute healthy food (approximately 13.8 million pounds per year) as well as our special programs: Kids Cafe (after-school meals for children in high-need areas), Community Kitchen (culinary job training for low-income and unemployed adults), and Healthy Habits (nutrition education for food pantry clients). Fundraising and administrative costs are just 12% of our total expenses. Government funding accounts for just 3% of the Food Bank’s revenue.
