Dunkin Joy in Childhood Foundation

Thank you the Dunkin Donuts “Joy in Childhood” Foundation, for their generous donation towards the Food Bank’s Kids Cafe program. Kids Cafe provides evening meals to 4 after-school sites across the state for kids at risk of hunger. Dunkin’s contribution will allow us to continue to provide healthy, fresh and culturally relevant meals to over 400 kids a day, 5 days a week.

Bristol County Savings Bank

We’re grateful to the Bristol County Savings Bank and its Charitable Foundation for including the Food Bank in its recent donation of $447,000 to 48 non-profits across its service area. Point32Health Foundation

The Point32Health Foundation recently provided the Rhode Island Community Food Bank $50,000 in support of individuals and families in Rhode Island suffering from food insecurity. This funding has enabled the Food Bank to provide essential support to our neighbors in need of food assistance.

Bank of America

1 in 3 Rhode Island households lack adequate access to nutritious food, which is why charitable grants and fundraising are critical to support the important work we do. To strengthen our community in Rhode Island, Bank of America is helping to address hunger by directing $20,000 in grant funding to the Food Bank. We’re so grateful to Bank of America for their ongoing support.

BJ’s Charitable Foundation

BJ’s Charitable Foundation recently supported the Food Bank’s Kids Cafe with a grant of $20,000. Kids Cafe is an after-school meal program that delivers healthy evening meals to children at risk of hunger.

BJ’s Charitable Foundation has long been committed to supporting neighbors. Since 2009, BJ’s Charitable Foundation and BJ’s Wholesale Club have supported Feeding America with nearly $7M in grant funding, COVID-19 response support and millions of pounds of donated product.

Bank Newport

BankNewport recently gave the Rhode Island Community Food Bank $100,000 to support hunger relief efforts for low-income individuals and families in Rhode Island.

For 200 years, BankNewport has been supporting those in need by giving back to local charitable organizations and investing in community development. “Being a community bank means helping our customers, but for us, it does not stop there. United Healthcare

Thank you to our friends at United Healthcare, for their generous donation of $15,000 to support the creation of Meals4Kids boxes. Distributed through community organizations and food pantries, shelf-stable Meals4Kids boxes are designed to provide supplemental, kid-friendly food boxes to families in need. We’re so grateful for United Healthcare’s support!

Santander Bank

Santander Bank, N.A. recently awarded the Food Bank with a $10,000 grant to provide hunger relief to low-income Rhode Islanders.

Santander recognizes that their success as a financial institution is directly linked to the prosperity of the families, businesses and neighborhoods they serve. They donate to nonprofit organizations in the neighborhoods where their customers and colleagues live and work and aim to forge strong philanthropic partnerships that strengthen low and moderate income and other underserved communities within their footprint.

National Grid Foundation

The National Grid Foundation provided the Rhode Island Community Food Bank with a special gift this month in support of those who continue to suffer from food insecurity and need emergency services as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact millions of people.

The National Grid Foundation was created to enhance the quality of life across its grant making territory. The Foundation strives to help its partner organizations create opportunities for today’s and tomorrow’s educational and environmental issues. Its objective is based on the principle that giving people the tools to build hope is an essential ingredient in the development of individuals, families and building stronger communities.
