Receptionist

Seeking a friendly, organized, and dependable receptionist to serve as the welcoming first point of contact for visitors, donors, volunteers, vendors, and staff. This role supports the Food Bank’s day-to-day operations by answering and directing calls, greeting visitors, managing incoming mail and packages, coordinating office and breakroom supplies, and assisting with administrative projects across the organization. The ideal candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and conversational Spanish proficiency required. A high school diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years of relevant experience are preferred. Production Chef

Seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Chef to support our Kids Cafe afterschool nutrition meal program, which provides nutritious meals to children facing food insecurity across Rhode Island. This position plays a vital role in preparing up to 500 meals daily in our commercial kitchen, working with a small, collaborative team to produce high-quality, often scratch-made meals that meet our nutrition and food safety standards. Reporting to the Kitchen Manager, the Production Chef is responsible for meal production, kitchen organization, and assisting with menu execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume or commercial kitchen setting, strong time management skills, and a commitment to feeding children and supporting our mission to end hunger in Rhode Island. Order Picker/Expeditor

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is looking for a full-time warehouse order picker/expeditor within the warehouse operation. The individual should have general warehouse knowledge. The individual will be responsible for efficiently and accurately picking outgoing orders and expediting pickup orders. They should also have experience using standard warehouse equipment. Looking for a team player willing to pitch in wherever needed to keep the operation running smoothly. Truck Driver

Seeking a full time – highly qualified Class A or B licensed truck driver with extensive pickup and delivery experience, including loading and unloading pallets utilizing a power pallet jack and liftgate. The candidate should also have knowledge and experience using standard warehouse equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly. The individual will transport and distribute food to our local agency network. Qualified candidates will have 2 to 4+ years of clean driving experience and have a willingness to assist in the warehouse as needed. In addition to the above listed skills and experience, the individual will be very detailed and accurate for DOT paperwork.
