We receive more qualified applicants than we can accept into the program. Often qualified candidates are placed on a waiting list. We also refer some applicants to other job training programs.

  • Basic Eligibility
  • The Community Kitchen program is 14 weeks long and requires attendance from 9:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, daily.
  • Education
  • Financial Supports
  • As part of our program, we require the following items:
    • United States Government issued passport
    OR
    • Government issued picture ID (such as drivers license or state ID) plus one of the following:
      • Social Security Card or
      • Birth Certificate
    We also require that you provide:
    • Notarized BCI (Background Criminal Investigation) dated within 3 months of the class start date. This is available for $5 (check or money order) from:

    Cranston, RI 02920 (located in the Pastore Complex)
    • Medical Insurance card (if you have medical coverage)
    • Proof of completion of high school, college, or GED course. In lieu of these, an educational assessment test will be administered.
