The Food Bank is partnering once again with Eat Drink RI to host Truck Stop: A Festival of Street Eats, as one of the signature events of the Eat Drink RI Festival weekend. For the 25th year, letter carriers across the state will pick up non-perishable food items from customers along their delivery route. Do your part to help make sure this year’s food drive is a huge success.

Food and fund donations decrease during the summer months, yet the need for food assistance remains high, particularly for children who no longer receive the free and reduced-price lunches provided for them during the school year.

The Food Bank’s Summer Food Drive encourages generous Rhode Islanders to support their neighbors in need with donations of food and funds. Keep an eye on this space for the the kick-off announcement.

Tickets: $45 in advance/$50 at the door.
Patron tickets: $150

The idea is simple. Enjoy local pottery and food at this casual family-friendly event. Choose a handmade artisanal bowl. Enjoy a diverse selection of tastings from local restaurants. Keep your bowl as a reminder that you helped fill the empty bowls in your community.

Scouts donate canned food at Scout for FoodScouting for Food Drive – 30th Anniversary

Saturday, November 4 at 9 am

More than 200 Scouts from the Narragansett Council, Boy Scouts of America will participate in this year’s Scouting for Food Drive, collecting canned goods from families and individuals throughout the area.  Scouts will leave a door hanger at your home on Saturday, October 28 and return to pick-up donations on Saturday, November 4. All you have to do is leave a bag at your door and the Scouts will deliver it to the Food Bank.
