How You Can Help

A donation to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank furthers the mission of providing quality food to people facing hunger. The Food Bank relies on public support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and special events to carry out our mission and our programs.

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is not a government agency, but a registered 501c(3) non-profit organization.

Approximately 92 percent of our funding is used to support our innovative hunger-fighting programs like Kids Cafe and Community Kitchen, as well as to distribute nutritious food to our network of nearly 300 member agencies. The remaining 8 percent helps support our administrative and fundraising expenses.

Financial support from our donors makes our efforts to feed hungry people in Rhode Island possible. Because that support is so key to our many programs, we strive to use every dollar we receive efficiently and effectively, and we do.

For each $1 donated to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, we can distribute enough food for three healthy meals. Nowhere can your dollar go further to help feed hungry men, women and children in our community.

Gifts are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

To request a copy of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank's most recent IRS Form 990, please email Christine Cannata.
