Come Tour the Food Bank

RI Community Food Bank
200 Niantic Avenue
Providence, RI  02907

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank invites the public to learn about the problem of hunger in our state and the ways in which the Food Bank works with the community to help provide assistance to those in need. At the center of this effort is our 66,000 square-foot facility on Niantic Avenue. Through the efficient use of our facility, we are able to increase our output and available services to our member agencies. We invite you to tour our facility to learn more about our work.  For scheduling or more information, contact Michael Cerio at (401) 942-6325 ext. 213.

Tours & Guidelines

Scheduling : Tours of the Food Bank are available Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00am – 5:00pm and need to be scheduled in advance.

Group Size : The Food Bank welcomes school and youth group tours, however, we request a one to five teacher to student ratio at all times.

Age Level : For a meaningful tour, the Food Bank recommends guests be a minimum of eight years old.

Expectation of Behavior : During tours, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank is open for regular business, which includes agency representatives picking up food orders and warehouse equipment activity. It is important that all visitors keep from interrupting this work by remaining in the designated areas. Supervising adults are responsible for maintaining appropriate behavior of the children while in our facility.
