For twenty-five years, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank has worked to ensure that every Rhode Islander has access to the healthy, nutritious food they need. The Food Bank distributes approximately eight million pounds of food to Rhode Islanders in need through a network of over 300 member agencies. To learn more about the Food Bank’s efforts click here.

You Can Help the Food Bank Meet the Summer Need

In order to help feed our neighbors in need this summer, Fidelity Investments and the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce have partnered with the Food Bank for the “Business Community Food Drive: Investing in Rhode Island” – encouraging all Rhode Islanders to get involved. With children out of school on summer vacation, they do not have access to the federal school breakfast and lunch programs they need, causing added strain to the already limited food budgets for many low-income families.
