The TV Maitre d' Cookbook

TV Maitre d', the popular television show, now has a companion cookbook featuring more than 100 restaurants and chefs. The new book was written by Joe Zito and Linda Beaulieu. The book is a delicious collection of more than 100 recipes from restaurants throughout Rhode Island, nearby Massachusetts and Connecticut. The book is available for $19.95, with $10 from each purchase being a direct donation to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Books may be purchased through the Food Bank, with shipping available for an additional $5. Price includes sales tax. For information on purchasing your copy, please call (401) 942-6325.

Dinner at Six: Voices from the Soup Kitchen

During the 1990's, acclaimed author Helen Hudson worked as a volunteer for soup kitchens in New Haven, Connecticut. After years of interaction and extensive interviews with "Guests," she wrote a book documenting the experiences. Feeling that the book could be a resource for food banks throughout the country, Helen and her family decided to publish the manuscript and donate copies to organizations that help the homeless and the hungry.

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank is pleased to be a partner of Ms. Hudson, Wildfire Press and their generosity. All of the money raised through the sale of the book will be a direct donation to the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Books are priced at $20 each and make great gifts. Price includes sales tax. For more information, or to order your copy, please contact Michael Cerio via email.
