1st Annual Autumn Food Festival - FREE

On Saturday, October 11th, visit Dockside Seafood in Warwick for their 1st Annual Autumn Food Festival to benefit the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. The event, which is free to the public, begins at 10 a.m. People are encouraged to make a donation of funds at the door that will help the Food Bank provide nutritious food to families in need.

21st Annual Scouting for Food Drive
Bag Drop-Off
Saturday, October 25th

On Saturday, October 25th, thousands of Boy Scouts will be coming to doors throughout Rhode Island as they begin their annual good turn of helping our neighbors at risk of hunger. The Scouts will be hanging collection bags on doorknobs throughout the state.

 

To help feed the thousands of Rhode Islanders who are struggling, people are encouraged to place their donations of non-perishable food items in their bag and leave it outside of their door by 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 1st. If a scout does not cover your neighborhood, please visit your local Walgreens to drop-off your donation between October 26th and November 7th.


21st Annual Scouting for Food Drive

Saturday, November 1st beginning at 9am

On Saturday, November 1st, local Boy Scouts will be returning to doors throughout Rhode Island to collect bags of non-perishable food for the Rhode Island Community Food Bank. A week earlier, the Boy Scouts hung collection bags on doorknobs throughout the state in order to collect donations for those in need.

 

Rhode Islanders are encouraged to place their donated food items in their bag and leave it by the door by 9am for the Scouts to pick up. Items that are most needed by the Food Bank include; peanut butter, canned tuna, chicken, turkey, rice, pasta, beans, nutritious breakfast cereal and canned fruits and vegetables. If a scout does not cover your neighborhood, please visit your local Walgreens to drop-off your donation between October 26th and November 7th.


Bill Harley & Friends Benefit Concert
Saturday, December 13th at 2pm
Lincoln School Auditorium

Grammy winner Bill Harley and friends -- Len Cabral, Keith Munslow, Marty Ballou and Elizabeth Mitchell -- will be performing a benefit concert for the Food Bank on Saturday, December 13th at 2pm at the Lincoln School Auditorium. All ticket sales, as well as the proceeds from the sales of books and recordings, will benefit the Food Bank.
