Thanks for visiting the Food Bank’s Kids Page!
The Food Bank helps people of all ages who don’t have enough money to buy food. We give them healthy food when they need it so that no one has to go hungry.
We’ve heard from lots of kids and young adults who want to help the Food Bank, so we created
The Toolkit has ideas grouped according to age, with projects perfect for preschool, elementary, middle school, high school and college students. It contains easy to use tools like posters, pledge sheets, fact sheets and lots of great tips on how to have a successful food or fund drive.
Ways you can help:
The Food Bank can provide posters and cardboard collection bins that stack and are easy to carry. You may pick up bins between 8 am and 5 pm in our entryway. Please ask our receptionist for posters. If you would like to have your donation weighed, please return the bins and donated food any weekday between 8 am and 3 pm. If you don’t need your donation weighed, you may leave the bins and food in the entryway any weekday between 8 am and 5 pm.
During the growing and farming season, the RI Community Farms are looking for kids willing to get their hands dirty. Contact a participating farm near you to see how you can help.
Don’t forget to take a photo showing how you helped the Food Bank! Share on social media or send it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
