Located in Riverside, member agency Good Neighbors Soup Kitchen provides daily meals to those in need. One of the meals often on the menu is a delicious pasta e fagioli recipe. Normally made in batches to feed up to 70 people, we’ve converted the recipe to family size. Try it out with your family!
Current member agencies may apply for funds to create or enhance your food program’s Cultural Competency practices.
Deadline for submission is January 31, 2018.

In October we launched our All Are Welcome Campaign to reinforce the message that our member agencies serve everyone in our community. Your agency should have received a kit, but if you need one, please contact Peg Pinkey at 230-1702.
For agencies that have their kits and posters up, please send photos to be included in a collage that represents the support our network is showing to everyone in need of food assistance. Email photos to Erica. Thanks in advance for your help with this!
At this year’s annual meeting, the Loni McGrath Community Garden Award was given to member agency Westbay Community Action for their farm program that grows 15,000 pounds of lettuce, tomatoes, onions, potatoes, squash and other vegetables each year.
The Guy Abelson Leadership Award was presented to Joe MarcAurele of Washington Trust for his service as Board President since 2011. In addition, three new board members were elected.
