One Kid Can! Helping the Hungry:
A Toolkit for Kids and Young Adults
Thanks for visiting the Food Bank's Kids Page! The Food Bank helps people of all ages who don’t have enough money to buy food. We give them healthy food when they need it so that no one has to go hungry.
We've heard from lots of kids and young adults who have great ideas for helping the Food Bank get enough food to feed families in need. In fact, it was all those great ideas that gave us an idea of our own. We created "One Kid Can! Helping the Hungry: A Toolkit for Kids and Young Adults."
The Toolkit has ideas grouped according to age, with projects perfect for preschool, elementary, middle school, high school and college students. It contains easy to use tools like posters, pledge sheets, fact sheets and lots of great tips on how to have a successful food or fund drive.
Download the kit as a pdf here, or if you'd rather open it in Word, download the kit as a Word file here.

Raising the Bar on Nutrition... for Kids!
Healthy Recipes for Kids
As a graduation project, an 8th grader at LaSalle Academy has taken all the recipes from our nutrition education program, Raising the Bar on Nutrition, and turned them into a cookbook especially for kids. All the recipes have been re-written so that a grade-school aged child can follow them. Additionally, each recipe contains at least two servings of vegetables. You'll be surprised at how delicious vegetables taste when they are cooked in olive oil! Download the cookbook here (PDF, 1.58MB).
